If you want to have your own great stack of dirty sexy money like Donald Sutherland’s TV family then here is what you need to do:

1. Make a conscious decision that you WANT to be wealthy – You do want to have lots of money and be wealthy, don’t you? Or are you just like all the rest of the pretenders? OK. Decide.

2. Know where you are at financially NOW – Be honest with yourself, will you? Add up your NET worth. Here’s a simplistic formula: Assets minus Liabilities equals Net Worth. (If you want a fantastic resource that will include EVERYTHING then look in the resource box at the end of this article)

3. Know where you want to be financially in the FUTURE – Set a financial goal. Yep, a goal – as much as that might sound hinky to you - you just gotta do it.

4. Find a method that will make money – and make it something that you LIKE – Look for a hungry market (every vehicle needs tyres, every person needs shoes, we all need haircuts, food, clothes etc. Got the idea?) Find a product to satisfy that hungry market. But make sure that your HEART is in your product. Don’t do something you hate just to make money. That will only make you miserable and your market will see through it anyway.

5. Reach the FIRST rung of your money ladder – aim for your first money goal. If you miss it first time round then have another crack. If you miss it again cut the goal in half and take two bites at it. In other words – chunk it down until you hit it.

6. Set a new goal to reach the NEXT rung of your money ladder – When you reach your first money goal, set another one.

7. REPEAT the process over and over as you climb the rungs – when you find a system that works keep repeating it. Tweak it up, remove unnecessary components. A BIG shot was once a little shot that just kept on firing. Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey weren’t born billionaires. First they were millionaires. Before that they were hundred-thousandaires, before that thousandaires and before that they were hundredaires. Yeah – and before that they were just hopefulaires. They just kept on with the task - measuring and refining and repeating what worked.

If you follow these tips you will be well on the way to having all the money that you want. Wouldn’t that be nice. You can be like Donald Sutherland and have your own big stash of ”Dirty Sexy Money.”
